COAT OF SMILES, parody art of iconic symbols. A duck's hat, a mouse's ears and a smiling yellow button. Three iconic things brought together in one artwork.

Red Fingers

He's painting almost literally with his heart's blood. I hope you can handle a bit gore ;)

"Is it sore?"

This is not intended as a children's book illustration. I was playing with extremes here both shapes and content. (BTW: This is a cleaned-up piece from a sketch I did at the last Royal Styrian Drawing Jam. Aim of my exercise: "superhero(s)")

Green Fingers

Just found this ol' rough titles BG piece while searching for something else...

BTW: This rough character sheet's time is up, too. I think I posted this cat once before. Anyway, if I did sorry... but I wanted to show it with the BG above.

Austria Down Under

Fellow pal Crisse sent me some parcels from France, a couple of weeks ago. One of these parcels had quite a longer journey than the others did. From one side of this very planet to the other and back again...

And now for something completely different and to give variety to this blog:

A duck.

One-Eyed Critter

Update: I forgot to mention that this fellow was intended, firstly, telescope-eyed. As you can see on the pic right below.

Alrighty, I'm back at work. And in a day or two, I should be back to my usual handsome self.

Steampunk Racer, Volvo 122 S (StarDucks Model Range)

This design below is nothing new but the finished/adapted clean-up version of the skin design I showed you pictures earlier this year.

As the racing team's captain said, the works on the car will be fully completed within the next 2 or 3 weeks. So I hope I can show you some nice pics of the real car, soon. I'm very, very curious about it...

Good. I'm abroad again for some days. See you then next week...

Yours,
the Duckman*

Fat With Ideas; 4th Royal Styrian Drawing Jam

Alright, I'm back from a short vacation and it was great. Now, I'm both hungry and thirsty for a fresh pencil and a cool glass of paper.

Update: As we all know, Dr. Jones is coming back next week. In this connection I'd like to draw your attention to the blog of the uber-talented Patrick Schoenmaker (nomen est omen): The Trumpet Parade

BEFORE I FORGET: The next Royal Styrian Drawing Jam is just around the corner. Next (4th) installment: Friday, MAY 16, 2008, Forum Stadtpark arts centre, "Saloon Lounge", 2nd floor (1.Stock), Graz-Steiermark, Austria. Starting at 6:00 p.m. (18:00h) till open end. BTW: Fellow co-host Joerg Vogeltanz will talk about the jam in the FM4 Morning Show, Friday, May 16 at 9.00 a.m.

Toby Skybuckle: The Rope Ship

Jake, Shane, Ryan... a little joyride around the block?

BTW: Please excuse my lack of emails or replies to comments at the present. I'm wrapped up in work at the moment.
