About Me
- Florian Satzinger
- Graz / Salzburg (alternating), Austria
- Florian Satzinger was a student of well-regarded Disney, MGM and Hanna-Barbera animator and animation director Ken Southworth ("Alice In Wonderland", "Woody Woodpecker", "Tom & Jerry", "The Flintstones", "Peanuts", "The Smurfs") who influenced him greatly. Presently, he is developing StarDucks© and Toby Skybuckle© with France and Japan based Ankama Media Group. Besides his design and production work, he teaches character design, analog animation and animation history in collaboration with Maryam Laura Moazedi at the University of Applied Sciences, Salzburg.

Behind the scenes of science fiction and fantasyNEMOLAND (NEMO NT)
In May 2009, Florian Satzinger gave workshops within the scope of The Genio Fiorentino 2009, on the occation of the Nemoland event/conferment of the Nemoland Special Award in the Aula Magna at the Instituto Statale d' Arte of Florence, Italy. Former Nemoland workshop hosts/award recipients were animation directors and animators such as Don Bluth, Gary Goldman, Alex Orrelle (Pixar) and J.P. Vine (Aardman Studios). Besides that, there was an exhibition of Florian Satzinger's original artwork at the Gipsoteca of the Instituto Statale d' Arte.
In Loving Memory
Ken Southworth (September 22, 1918 - December 6, 2007) worked for a number of major animation studios, including Walt Disney Studios, Hanna-Barbera, Filmation, Warner Bros., MGM, Walter Lantz and Clokey Productions. His credits includes Disney's Alice In Wonderland, Cinderella and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow as well as Hanna-Barbera's Tom & Jerry and The Flintstones and Walter Lantz' Woody Woodpecker.

Looks great, but I think your pencil rolled into the picture as you were taking it haha just kidding, awesome stuff!
May I know why you always sketch with blue pencil and then trace it with the black one?

Sandal, it works like an "analog layer system". The blue lines can easily be faded away in Photoshop or the like...
