Jaw-Dropping Concept Car From The 1950s

I'm back to my ancestral drawing desk. Right now, I'm finishing a character design job which I guess would make every other animation designer's heart sing too, having this on the desk :) Anyway, this post is not about the job itself but rather about some inspirational things related to getting the right "designing spirit" or mood for the project, in the means of shapes and forms. Like the Alfa Romeo B.A.T. (Berlinetta Aerodinamica Tecnicas)

More about this beautiful concept car over here...

Apropos inspiration, I found this aircraft gem somewhere on the internet, fantastic, isn't it?

Behind The Margins

I did this rough piece a little more than a week ago or so. I was playing around with the idea or question what on earth is happening behind the margins of the CTN animation expo's poster. And this is the answer, at least from my motorpunkish point of view.

Rough Sketch: Reporters

No beaks included :) Apropos, I'm quite happy with the french retro-design touch on the car. A little bit of a Lincoln Futura is involved too I guess.

Take-off: Dynamic Eagle

My today's warm-up sketch is an interpretation of Jimmy Jammz' (aka Jeremy Townsend) brilliant but crazy dynamic eagle drawing.
