COAT OF SMILES, parody art of iconic symbols. A duck's hat, a mouse's ears and a smiling yellow button. Three iconic things brought together in one artwork.

Remembering Harald

This is a collection of rough Alfred J. Kwak sketches, all from the beautiful same-named comic album series by Harald Siepermann and Hans Bacher; two of the most talented, most inspirational and most noble artists I know.

Harald Siepermann (1962 - 2013)

A couple of weeks ago I posted on my facebook timeline that to me Harald Siepermann is one of the most gifted character designers on this very planet. I added this little collection of some of my favorite pieces, done by Harald.

We had great and fun periodical gatherings together, like at CTNX, Pixel Conference or Pictoplasma. I planned to pay Harald a visit in Hamburg near soon.

Not any more. Harald died last Saturday.
