Skipped

A couple of months ago, I was about to clean-up this rough design and use it as the cover sujet of the new book we're developing here at PW but skipped it because of some story changes etc. Anyhow, I think it makes a nice posting anyway.

Another Giant Motorsuit

This is the South entrance of the Kunsthaus Graz museum where the Paperwalker show's currently running, until November 16th, 2014. The material here displays nicely the first idea I had for the exhibition's promo material, John Starduck arriving in a giant motorsuit at the museum. These are just rough blue test sketches but I guess you get an idea of what I was trying to come at still.

John Starduck: DuckMe

Throwback reference... this kid on the reference photos is me, a couple of million years ago. Badass tee, isn't it? Anyways, I'm using this past-mini-me as reference/basis for the entire outfit design of the John Starduck character. This here is the first rough sketch of the process.

John Starduck: Dimitrius 1.0, Polar Racer

I just unpacked the Polar Racer model "Dimitrius 1.0", John Starduck's snow ride of choice and supposed to be part of my exhibition at Kunsthaus Graz (Designforum), built by super talented, Toulouse based, Georges Le Bras. I attached two concept sketches of the not yet built front cockpit part here, too.

Another John Starduck Vehicle Reference: The Ford Mexico High Performance Sports Car Scale Model

Pure design beauty from the 1950s by industrial designer Alex Tremulis (who was BTW also the designer of the legendary Ford Seattle-ite XXI concept car). I already can feel the duck inside.

John Starduck Short Film

Quite recently, I started developmental work on the short subject film project John Starduck©. Cheers to Reno Armanet from France and LA based Tigobo Animation Studios for setting the duck running. Let's see, I'm sure this will be fun, cross your fingers :) Please find some older early rough pieces here below.
