Winterwonderland

It's snowing outside and snowing and snowing and snowing.
Apart from that, I have no idea what this is, but I like it. I mean this thing on the limb.
No idea.

Huck Finn: Teaser Sujet

I did this mashup of rough character sketches for the HF teaser site. After all, only Buck (the bird with the smoothy) made it onto the page: www.huckle-berry-finn.com
Less is more.

The King; Legal Ducks
Update: Allow me to introduce... The King: (Through and through inspired by the same-named character in Mark Twain's original story)

And here're the legal

J. and A. Drake. Lawyers from Duck, Duck & Waterfowl.
Those two drakes are very, very loosely inspired by two real life lawyers. A former elementary school classmate of me and his associate. (Well, they, the real ones, don't look or act like ducks, of course. They just have, hopefully, a good sense of humor. At least in this case...)

The Dainty Mr. Wolf

He's very ambitious, but a tiny bit too cold-blooded. Anyway, what do you think of my two-handed painting and drawing technique? I could do that while doing a handstand and using my feet to handle the paintbox and...
"Put up evidence or shut up!"
...sorry.

Buck In The Tree

I did (am still doing) a lot of concept work for HF Recalibrated. I titled this piece "Mississippi Afternoon Smoothy". (Dear me, Ryan's dead right. I'm posting like a mad man.)

Toby Skybuckle

My only worry and ambition.
Fiddlesticks! It's just one of my fave projects... I just glanced through the early concepts sketches. (BTW: This cartoon bird is borrowed from a different project, to be exact)

The Undertaker And Humpty Dumpty, 'Recalibrated'

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall,
All the King's horses and all the King's men,
Couldn't put Humpty together again.
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall,
All the King's horses and all the King's men,
Couldn't put Humpty together again.
Well, not here. In Huck Finn's Recalibrated Fantastic Adventures the result of the great fall becomes "the character whitin". (BTW: Originally, I wanted this to take part in the Toby Skybuckle story, but soon it became a stand-alone thing because of its complexity)
Boy, do I post too much? I think I post too much.

Huckleberry Finn (a bit different), Post No. 100!
Update: Did I said Mark Twain meets Lewis Carroll? I've to add Clive Barker, I guess. At least because of this hare. He is a sort of integrated or mutated version of The White Hare and The March Hare in Huck Finn's recalibrated fantastic adventures:

Bogey Bones, Freestyle Boarder
Update: This is a mere acquaintance of Mr. Bones, Bogey Tyndale. He is a bit slow on the uptake, but that is mainly because he's scatterbrained in the best possible sense.

And the Honorable Mr. B. Bones himself:

I like the background. Praise the Impressionist. (James, I'm using Photoshop and the Impressionist plug-in for the painting look.)

For Ryan Wood: The Drawing Machine

So, I'm back to the drawing desk. I dedicate this piece to my fellow comrade-at-pencils, the fabulous Ryan Wood. (Thanks, Ryan)
