StarDucks: Secret Service Ducks

And here they are... the most powerfull elite feathers. Guarding the StarDucks. (Another happy dance, because I've finished my work on this project TODAY!)
Free, free like a bird...

Update (Nov 22, 2007): BTW, Happy Thanksgiving Day!

Bravebird With Helmet And Horns; Zombiebird Portrait

Update: Apropos Zombiebird - 'bird' being the operative word. I did this funny chap some weeks ago (cf. Walburga Potts).

Pretty life... deathlike portrait.

And Now for Something Completely Different: The B-Hero And His Pet

Update: "Florian, are you positive that this is B-Hero's pet?"
No. In fact quite the reverse is true. (In this connection I want to apologise to my wise writers and co-designers who are working on this project with me for tolerating all those abstruse input of mine.)

Well, he's not that kind of girl...

The Captain's Paperplane Kit, Mod. X2005

Update 2: This buffer was intended for this year's card. Together with Captain Christmas and some others.

After all, our ideas shifted to another concept... with the Capt'n, but without this birdy. BTW: He carries his entire intellect in his left big toe. So he has to radio his ideas etc. over Bluetoe to his brainhat.

----

Update 1: I'm awfully sorry, I forgot to introduce the plane's design engineer to you:

----

To get you in pre-mood for Christmas I've a little preezie for you. The Original Captain Christmas Paperplane Kit, for Paperwalker readers only.
Well, to tell the truth, this paperplane kit was part of the S&H season's greetings mailing, Christmas 2005.

Website

My studio's website went (still going) through a relaunch. I'll miss the old sepia coloured site, but it was full to the bursting point. So - bye, old jalopy. Hello, new one.

Egon Schiele

Egon Schiele is one of my fave artists. So it's no wonder that he is a source of inspiration. For finding new conceptions on designing characters, for instance.

Walburga Potts

I finished this piece some days ago. It's for a children's production by the writer and composer Henry Muldrow.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Winterwonderland

It's snowing outside and snowing and snowing and snowing.

Apart from that, I have no idea what this is, but I like it. I mean this thing on the limb.
No idea.
Update: Now I know where this sketch comes from. I did this geezer together with the Cell Dragons, last Christmas:

Huck Finn: Teaser Sujet

I did this mashup of rough character sketches for the HF teaser site. After all, only Buck (the bird with the smoothy) made it onto the page: www.huckle-berry-finn.com

Less is more.

Wacky.

The King; Legal Ducks

Update: Allow me to introduce... The King: (Through and through inspired by the same-named character in Mark Twain's original story)

And here're the legal eagles ducks:

J. and A. Drake. Lawyers from Duck, Duck & Waterfowl.

Those two drakes are very, very loosely inspired by two real life lawyers. A former elementary school classmate of me and his associate. (Well, they, the real ones, don't look or act like ducks, of course. They just have, hopefully, a good sense of humor. At least in this case...)

The Dainty Mr. Wolf

He's very ambitious, but a tiny bit too cold-blooded. Anyway, what do you think of my two-handed painting and drawing technique? I could do that while doing a handstand and using my feet to handle the paintbox and...

"Put up evidence or shut up!"

...sorry.

The Nicely Evil Doctor Dish-Soap

Dr. Dish-Soap: We could think of him as the invisible meaning behind... whatever.

Buck In The Tree

I did (am still doing) a lot of concept work for HF Recalibrated. I titled this piece "Mississippi Afternoon Smoothy". (Dear me, Ryan's dead right. I'm posting like a mad man.)

Toby Skybuckle

My only worry and ambition.

Fiddlesticks! It's just one of my fave projects... I just glanced through the early concepts sketches. (BTW: This cartoon bird is borrowed from a different project, to be exact)

Birds In Arms

"Behind what are you hiding, you lazy-bones!"

Well, taken out of the context, they may seem violent. However, they're just fishing for attention... and I'm fishing for characters.
