MB Motorsuit, Mod. Roadrunner
They have fun, haven't they? Anyways, besides my love for everything Franquin, especially for his weird machines and rides, I've a passion for Maurice Noble's background art and layout designs. One can see that here pretty good, no? By the by, Happy Birthday Cartoon Brew!
I did the rough sketch of this on my hotel room at the CTN Expo last November - look at the googles the birds wear, they're definitely heading for the upcoming Animation Week in Burbank, aren't they? ;)

Joeri Christiaen (lead animator on The Triplets of Belleville) and the talented girls and boys around him over at Belgium based Thuristar are brill! I love the guitar-playing/dancing part of this test, wow! By the way, besides, the second best thing to me about this here is the fact that the knight looks absolutely like my pal Nils. It's him, without doubt!

Andre Franquin Inspired Air-Ride
I'm a great admirer of Andre Franquin, especially his Zorglub branded copters and air-bikes still are a great inspiration to my work. So, just for warm-up-fun, I tested the Zorglub colour/brand theme on this rough Motorbirds sketch below and it looks lovely, doesn't it? :)
