'Duck Fan', literally

Early Donald Duck pitch material piece, which was done a little less than two years ago. I was trying to find my own "style voice", which I think worked out fine here, showing both, the general look of the duck characters (more slim and bendy) and samples of props and scenery design, in this case the interior view of a secret casting laboratory of sorts, probably somewhere in an industrial estate at the outskirts of Duckburg. I showed already an early rough sketch of this here, but not the finished artwork.

Cast-Off Poster Sujet: 'Duckland 2'

My original plan was to go with this very poster design, but then I came up with the idea of the ACME Brain-Wave Kit for the final version. However, I still like the atmosphere of this Spitzweg painting I put the characters into. The original painting's title is "Gnom" or "Dwarf" (1848), by Carl Spitzweg.

Ducks On Air: "Hallo FM4"

I was on the "Hallo FM4" radio show in Vienna, yesterday. I truly had a lovely time with the hosts Daniel Grabner und David Riegler. For about an hour long (segment 14:00-15:00) we talked about all things anthropomorphisation and - of course - ducks, available for playback until next Sunday: "Hallo FM4" (German)
