AEC Exhibition; The Art Center

Update (Tuesday, March 2, 2010): This is (above) my current The Art Center contribution. Inspired by a pre-Columbian sculpture (thanks to Andrea for giving me that fact) portraying an Orca i.e. Killer Whale.

Btw, Randall Sly just wrote in that within the first couple of days we had over 16,000 visitors... that's not bad, isn't it?

Currently, my ducks and bird-like critters are exhibited at one of the coolest places I've ever been: The Ars Electronica Center.

The Art Center

Recently, I became part of The Art Center team: "The Art Center is a brand new place where Artists will share Ideas, Tips, and Tutorials."

At the moment we are 8 players: Randall Sly (Character Design Blog), Rad Sechrist (Dreamworks), Brian Wong, Damon Bard (Bard Sculpture Studio), Octavio Rodriguez (Lucasfilms), Sam Nielson (Avalanche/Disney Interactive), Xavier Ramonède and my humble self... Update, 11 players: Marc McDonnell (teaches life drawing at Disney and Dreamworks), Shane Prigmore (Dreamworks) and Louie del Carmen (the youngest of the del Carmen brothers) joined the Art Center team, too.

Nemoland 2010: Disney's Eric Goldberg

Now, this is news: Eric Goldberg and Susan Goldberg will be this year's Nemoland awardees. Additionally, they will give workshops and presentations at the Nemoland 2010 event within the scope of the Genio Fiorentino Festival in Florence, Italy. What a great art party this is going to be... and I know what I'm speaking about ;o)

Facial Expression

This is just a quick stop here on the fly. I'm still taking a break, but I felt like posting: I did this warm-up piece purely on a whim sometime last year while I was working on a nice project for the fine people from Vancouver based Global Angle Productions.
