Something Special

This Christmas, I got a wonderful present from Achdé. A copy, fresh from the press, of his newest Lucky Luke* comic album...

...including this incredibly wonderful illustrated inscription. What a gift:

So, now it's on me to give away some goodies to Achdé and Crisse... wait and see :)

FRIEND, EXCUSE ME FOR TAKING ITS TIME. I LIVE IN BRAZIL AND I was VERY HAPPY IN SEEING ITS WORK. HE GAVE ME A LOT OF HAPPINESS. It is AS IF I was PART of that WORLD THAT YOU CREATED. I HAVE A DOUBT. Why do YOU USE BLUE PENCIL to CREATE THE SKETCHES? BECAUSE THE BLUE? THEN do they PLACE THE LINES IN BLACK?

  9. Yeah, a great present! Big, big thanks to Achdé!

Alexandre, the blue rough sketch comes before doing the dark outlines. It works like an analog layer system in a way.
