COAT OF SMILES, parody art of iconic symbols. A duck's hat, a mouse's ears and a smiling yellow button. Three iconic things brought together in one artwork.

Pixel Vienna Conference, November 7th-9th, 2014

Over the past few years, Pixel Vienna presented stunners like Robert Blalack, Mario Ucci, Eric Goldberg, Bruno Bozzetto, Oscar Grillo, Andreas Deja, Harald Siepermann, Jakob Schuh, Saschka Unseld, just to name a few.

This year, my pals Jose Lopez, Alex Orrelle and Andrei Riabovitchev will continue the grand animation and VFX talks feast, scheduled for November 7th - 9th, 2014, at the Austrian Academy of Sciences, Vienna:

Thank You, Robert Blalack

More PIXEL Conference "family album" awesomeness, VFX Academy Award winner (first/original Star Wars film) Robert Blalack posing for souvenir photos (surrounded by the cheerful Pixel cameramen), right after the interview he was giving me fanboy extraordinaire; plus a snapshot from his talk at the main hall of the Academy of Sciences and a TV screen grab from the 50th Academy Awards ceremony, back in 1978. Thanks Robert, you're cool as hell!

Pixel Art Battle With Eric

Robert Blalack, Mario Ucci And Eric Goldberg

Last year, on behalf of the Pixel organizing team, I had the tremendous pleasure to bring two very masters of the universe, Bruno Bozzetto and Oscar Grillo, to Vienna's Pixel Conference.

This year, from October 25th - 27th, 2013, another trek of masters follow my very invitation. VFX director and Academy Award winner Robert Blalack ("StarWars", "RoboCop", "Wolfen", "The Day After"), Passion Pictures' creative director Mario Ucci ("Gorillaz") and - last but not least - Disney lead animator, character designer, feature film director and even voice actor Eric Goldberg!
