The Crystal Sword DC58-2602, ACME Smithery

Finally, I managed to finish my piece for Crisse (referring to his comic book series l'Épée de cristal). He is, btw, the editor of StarDucks... what makes me really glad.

By the by, Achdé was so kind and featured my other duckish critter (which I did for him in return for the gift he made me) on his blog.

Motoric Help

Here's another piece (dates from 1923) of Austrian artist Jos Danilowatz, right out of his brilliant book "Motor in der Karikatur". The influence on my work is obvious, no?

The Text below the image says btw something like: "Women's new technique, to throw off-balance even the most steadfast sportsman."

Here are two designs of mine, created about a year ago or so, which were quite inspired by Danilowatz' "motor pics"... and from StarWars :)

To me, another indeed very, very paramount source of inspiration is this very blog and its photos: Shorpy

Motor Hat

I've no idea for what this hat is for or how it works. Anyway, I really enjoy painting all sorts of reek, damp, steam etc...

This sidekick character was for a nice project from last year. The client really liked it, but after all the market research resulted in prefering something like "pink girlies" and stuff.

Hu, tomorrow is Friday already, I really wish to have an Otter Ball craft for this weekend's getaway...

This was btw a very fast and rough rendering for some test clean-up purposes.

Nice Ride

I really enjoy designing/drawing all sorts of rides, machines, vehicles etc. All the more if I work on Toby Skybuckle #1 (and that's btw what I'm working on day and night these days), which is full of weird rides and... but we'll wait and see for the book :)

Apropos, the inspiration for this piece (which is not for the Toby book) comes from one of my favorite artists, Jos Danilowatz:
